Life is Short… Make the Most of
Every Day. That’s John Middleton’s Philosophy
A Bold Move Growing up on a small island on Puget Sound, John has always been drawn to nature and water in particular. As a young adult, he was able to channel this enthusiasm into a career as a professional fly-fishing guide. So when he and his wife vacationed in Whitefish nearly a decade ago, the connection was instantaneous. “We pulled into town and my wife said ‘I could live here,’” John says. From there, they literally packed up their belongings in Seattle and made the move. “It may sound crazy, but anyone who lives here understands,” he continues. “The mountains, the rivers—they invoke a spirit of adventure. What attracted us most was the way the valley made us feel. We decided that this was our opportunity, and we took the leap.” Today, John and his wife believe it was the best decision they could have made for their family. Living Life to the Fullest This bold move speaks volumes about John’s character. When he sees something he wants, he pursues it. From his educational achievements at Seattle University to his years of experience as a carpenter, John is not the type of person who lets opportunity pass him by. For him, each day brings with it new challenges to overcome and new activities to be enjoyed. But John will tell you it’s easy to live life to the fullest when nature is your playground and world-class amenities are right outside your front door. A Unique Understanding
It didn’t take long to translate the skills of his past career—in-depth area knowledge, expert guiding abilities and a genuinely friendly personality—into a career as a leading real estate professional in the Flathead Valley. For John, anything worth doing should be done wholeheartedly. This philosophy is at the core of John’s professional pursuits as well. He approaches his clients’ goals as if they were his own, offering realistic, judicious advice coupled with integrity. “Having the job I do is a privilege and a responsibility, and it’s one I take very seriously,” he says. John’s resources, network of contacts and astute negotiating skills prove to be powerful assets. He provides valuable insights on the latest market trends and has a firm finger on the pulse of this ever-changing industry. John’s special brand of superior service is based on the same principles he applied as a professional guide and the same principles he applies everyday in life—be open to new experiences, accept the things you cannot change and treat others as you would have others treat you. Let John Be Your Guide
John will always appreciate the valley for the same things that brought him here nearly a decade ago: the rugged natural beauty, the proximity to unlimited outdoor activities, the ambiance and some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. But to truly experience the lifestyle, you need a knowledgeable guide like John—because you’re not just buying real estate; you’re investing in a way of life. The fresh mountain air awakens John Middleton’s senses as he prepares his gear, expecting the best from today’s float. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of the valley, he feels compelled to pause for a moment, enthused by the landscape that is so familiar yet so invigorating. As he guides his raft downriver, the quiet stretch of water is disturbed only by the rise of hungry trout breaking through the glassy surface. It’s John’s cue to grab his rod for a much anticipated day of fly-fishing. For this outdoor enthusiast there is only one word that describes the atmosphere: inspirational.
